The Opportunity

KB Home is looking for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented E-Commerce & Data Implementation Specialist to help shape the future of our digital homebuying journey. In this role, you’ll be at the intersection of data, technology, and customer experience—managing the systems and content that power our online design studio and consumer-facing platforms. Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Implementation

  • Become a subject-matter expert in KB Home’s studio, purchasing, and e-commerce systems.
  • Validate and audit data for new community launches and product changes to ensure accuracy across internal and consumer-facing platforms.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and IT to ensure all communities and plans are accurately represented on KBHome.com.
  • Use analytics tools to track KPIs like website traffic, conversion rates, and customer behavior to inform strategy.
  • Host regular divisional meetings to review performance metrics, best practices, and community updates.
  • Provide daily support to divisional studio and purchasing teams for ERP and e-commerce data setup.
  • Test and validate new software features and bug fixes to ensure smooth functionality.
  • Manage product content in the online design studio, including images, descriptions, and features aligned with KB Home’s brand.
  • Identify gaps in supplier content and coordinate enhancements with external partners.

Customer Service & Training Support

  • Provide daily support to studio, purchasing, sales, construction, and warranty teams regarding ERP and e-commerce systems.
  • Maintain and update training documentation and user manuals.
  • Deliver live or recorded training sessions to divisional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Support strategic initiatives like visualizers, MyKB, and other tools that enhance the homebuyer experience.
  • Assist with division-level implementation of e-commerce software, including troubleshooting and data entry.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in online merchandising or e-commerce, preferably in homebuilding, design studios, or retail.
  • Experience delivering live or virtual training is a plus.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing, merchandising, and/or e-commerce systems such as Envision. Comfortable learning and adapting to new software applications as needed.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a background in visual marketing or design preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of consumer behavior in a retail or e-commerce environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, make decisions confidently, and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Must reside in Phoenix Az.
  • 8-hour workdays with flexibility to work overtime when needed; may include working on weekends or holidays dependent upon business needs which would be communicated in advance when possible.
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner.
  • In addition to in-person interaction, must connect with people using various electronic modes of communication effectively through email, phone, and video conferencing.
  • Ability to travel occasionally; Could be as high as up to 25-50% at busier times of the year
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. 
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to move about work location.
  • Ability to drive/travel throughout the designated area to construction sites as needed.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
  • Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand.
  • Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio).   
  • Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales).
  • Maintain a professional and ethical conduct to reinforce company goodwill and profitability.
  • Position located at the Phoenix Office #LI-onsite.
