The Opportunity

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, branding, and driving results? KB Home is seeking a visionary Marketing Director to lead marketing efforts for our Los Angeles/Ventura division. In this high-impact role, you’ll shape the way our communities are introduced to the market, create memorable customer experiences, and partner with senior leadership to ensure our marketing strategies align with business goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute annual and quarterly marketing strategies to drive qualified traffic, support sales goals, and elevate brand presence.
  • Promotions & Events: Collaborate with corporate marketing and sales leadership to plan and execute weekly customer events, promotions, and advertising campaigns that boost visibility and engagement.
  • Community Launches: Lead the planning and execution of grand openings and new community launches, including sales office merchandising and signage strategies.
  • Advertising & Collateral: Manage advertising plans, media contracts, and creative direction with KB Agency. Oversee the selection and production of promotional materials, ensuring brand consistency and quality.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze underperforming communities and develop targeted action plans in collaboration with sales and agency partners.
  • Digital Engagement: Leverage social media and digital marketing to enhance brand awareness and connect with current and future homeowners.
  • Budget Management: Own the division’s marketing budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources for events, promotions, and outreach efforts.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing and sales, preferably in real estate or homebuilding.
  • Strong background in digital marketing and social media strategy.
  • Agency experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to facilitate engaging presentations for both small and large audiences.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling messages.
  • Action-oriented with a drive to execute marketing initiatives that deliver measurable results.
  • Demonstrated leadership in team motivation, conflict resolution, and employee development.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across departments and with external partners.
  • Deep understanding of market trends and customer behavior.
  • A customer-first mindset, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact service programs and solutions.
  • Collaborative and inclusive, with a strong ability to work cross-functionally and embrace diverse perspectives.

Requirements

  • Must work 8-hour days (during core business hours) with flexibility for longer hours as needed and potential weekends
  • Must conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, external business associates and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. 
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to move about work location.
  • Ability to drive/travel throughout the designated area to construction sites as needed.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
  • Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand.
  • Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio).   
  • Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales).

Compensation Details and Benefits

KB Home offers a competitive base pay. The expected range for this position is based on experience and is noted below, paid semi-monthly. 

Other rewards may include bonuses or role-specific awards.

KB Home provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick time and vacation.

Pay Range

USD $125,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
