The Opportunity

At KB Home, we don’t just build homes—we build futures. As one of the nation’s premier homebuilders, we’re looking for a passionate and driven Sales Manager to lead our Los Angeles/Ventura division. This is more than a leadership role—it's an opportunity to shape the customer experience, mentor a high-performing team, and drive meaningful results in a dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire and Lead: Manage, coach, and develop a team of Sales Counselors to exceed sales goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Drive Performance: Champion the KB Edge Business Model, leveraging our Structured Selling Process and digital tools like C3 to maximize results.
  • Strategize for Growth: Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities, boost traffic, and expand our Realtor Broker Outreach program.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional departments to align sales strategies with broader business goals.
  • Develop Top Talent: Recruit, train, and retain high-potential sales professionals. Provide ongoing feedback, performance coaching, and development plans.
  • Deliver Excellence: Ensure 100% customer satisfaction by resolving service issues promptly and maintaining consistent communication with prospects and homeowners.

What You Bring

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid California Real Estate License.
  • 3+ years of proven sales experience; prior management experience preferred.
  • Experience in homebuilding or a related industry is a plus.
  • Action-oriented mindset with a strong drive to push sales and marketing efforts to successful closure.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including team motivation, employee development, conflict resolution, and a results-driven approach.
  • Exceptional ability to connect with people and build lasting professional relationships.
  • Deep understanding of market and industry trends, with the ability to translate insights into strategy.
  • A customer-first mindset, backed by a strong track record of delivering high-quality customer service programs and seeking solutions from the customer’s perspective.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead impactful training sessions and deliver compelling presentations.
  • Collaborative spirit with a strong ability to work in team settings, valuing diverse perspectives and fostering cooperation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule on a consistent basis, including evenings, weekend and holidays
  • The position is located at the division office (address) and requires frequent travel 50% of the time between new home construction sales communities in the Los Angeles/Ventura region #LI-onsite
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers and external brokers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company 
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. 
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to move about work location.
  • Ability to drive/travel locally 50% of time.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
  • Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand.
  • Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio).   
  • Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales).

Compensation Details and Benefits

KB Home offers a competitive base pay. The expected range for this position is based on experience and is noted below, paid semi-monthly. 

Other rewards may include bonuses or role-specific awards.

KB Home provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick time and vacation.

Pay Range

USD $135,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.
